Reports of Messi Ballon d’Or win branded ‘bullsh*t’ as PSG superstar seeks seventh Golden Ball

 




Lionel Messi is a strong contender for the Ballon d'Or in 2021, but the editor of France Football has dismissed speculations that the PSG superstar has already been informed of his victory as "bullsh*t."


Despite a coronavirus-affected athletic calendar last year, no Golden Ball was given out, but someone will be honored on November 29.


Messi, the Argentine legend, is widely seen as the frontrunner, with some believing that he already has a seventh individual prize in his illustrious career, but poll authorities insist no winner has yet been determined.

The allegations concerning Messi were confirmed by Pascal Ferre, France's football editor, in an interview with Bild.
